NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - Nevada women's tennis began its last tournament of the fall season on Friday, grabbing a win in doubles and three in singles.
In day one of the CSU Northridge Matador Invite, the doubles team of
Marlene Foerster and
Kennedy Robinson defeated the team of Carolyna Fowler and Amanda Perez from UC Irvine, 6-2. The duo of
Wiem Boubaker and Petra Janivoga fell to Haily Huynh and Maily Huynh, 3-6.
In singles action Foerster came away with a 1-0 win over Long Beach State's Cecilia Costa after a withdraw. Robinson defeated Thea Jagare, 6-7, 7-5 and 6-1. Boubaker rounded out the wins by taking down Johanna Hiesmair, 6-4 and 6-3.
The Pack will continue play tomorrow, taking on BYU and CSUN in doubles and LMU in singles.
