SALT LAKE CITY – Senior Claudia Herrero continues her productive fall season after advancing to the round of 16 at the ITA Regionals on Thursday. Herrero also won with teammate Blaga Delic in their doubles bracket.

Herrero went 2-0 on the day, first defeating Brandy Walker of Northern Arizona in straight sets 6-4, 6-2. She defeated University of Idaho's Lucia Badillos 6-1, 7-5 to advance to the round of 16 where she will face Kate Cusick from BYU.

Delic and Herrero are the only doubles tandem remaining in the tournament after they took down Meredith Laskey and Meredith Jones from Air Force 8-2. The seniors will face Northern Arizona's Chiara Tomasetti and Hanneke Lodewijks tomorrow in the round of 16.

Freshmen Maria Tatarnikova and Lili Fekete each won their opening match in the round of 128, but fell on Thursday in the round of 64.
