SALT LAKE CITY – Freshmen Maria Tatarnikova and Lili Fekete each earned victories in the opening round at the ITA Regionals to advance to the round of 64. Senior Claudia Herrero was given a bye in the first round, and will compete in the round of 64 tomorrow.

Tatarnikova won her second singles match of the fall season on Wednesday, defeating Charity Sagiao of Southern Utah University in 6-4, 7-6. Fekete won her first collegiate singles match to advance to the round of 64 after taking down Emily Tanner from Weber State 6-0, 6-3

In doubles play, Herrero and senior Blaga Delic were victorious in the round of 64 when they beat Idaho State's Huibre-Mare Botes and Louise-Mare Botes 8-4. They will be the only doubles tandem from Nevada to play in the round of 32 tomorrow.
