Nevada Sports Medicine

The Sports Medicine department is part of the E.L. Cord Academic and Athletic Performance Center at the University of Nevada. This facility is home to the Wolf Pack athletic training staff, which consists of 12 full-time certified athletic trainers, each one dedicated to no more than two sports, boasting a student athlete to athletic trainer ratio of 38:1.

The University of Nevada athletic training staff plays a major role in maintaining the health and overall well-being of all Nevada student athletes. The staff is committed to the prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation of injuries while working in tandem with team physicians, strength and conditioning staff, and mental health professionals. The Sports Medicine department provides medical care and treatment to over 450 Wolf Pack athletes representing 16 sports.

The main athletic training room consists of a treatment room with a multitude of rehabilitative modalities, an aquatic therapy room with in-ground hot and cold tubs and a multi-depth therapy pool with an underwater treadmill, a large functional rehabilitation area, and a newly upgraded recovery room fully stocked with Hyperice recovery tools.
