AGAINST USC

CHASING A MOUNTAIN WEST CHAMPIONSHIP SPOT

While the Wolf Pack sits two games ahead in the loss column of three teams tied for the sixth and final spot, it has some work to do if it wants to climb back into the top two which earns a bye into the four-team, double-elimination portion. Nevada will do some scoreboard watching this weekend to see where it stands entering the final Mountain West weekend from May 14-16.
FACING A RANKED TEAM
This weekend's series at USC marks Nevada's first contests against a Top-25 team since facing No. 4 Oregon State for a pair of games April 16-17, 2024 in Reno. The Wolf Pack captured the latter of those two contests in a dramatic 11-10 victory, walking it off on JR Freethy's solo homer in the ninth.
