RENO, Nev. - Nevada Track and Field athlete
Anne Schuch was awarded Mountain West Freshman of the Week, Tuesday, following her performance at the Bryan Clay Multis.
Schuch took first place in Group D of the Heptathlon at the Bryan Clay Multis this past week in Azusa, California. Schuch earned a point total of 5,186 points, the tenth highest point haul in program history. Schuch recorded personal bests in six out of the seven events, earning top fives in five out of six. Schuch currently holds the best heptathlon point total for freshmen in the Mountain West and sits 13th in the NCAA freshman standings for heptathlon.
Schuch is part of a very strong Pack multis core that took a share of medals at last years Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The Pack will return to action this week for the Mt. SAC Relays and Bryan Clay Invitational.
