RENO, Nev. — Nevada Softball claimed two of the Mountain West's top weekly awards on Monday, as Hannah Di Genova was named Mountain West Player of the Week and Katie Wetteland was named Mountain West Freshman of the Week.

Di Genova delivered a solid week hitting .462 with a 1.308 slugging percentage, three home runs, and 13 RBIs across four games. She recorded at least one hit in every contest and posted multi‑RBI efforts in three of the four.

Her biggest swing came in Nevada's game two win over New Mexico, where she launched two home runs, including a three‑run shot that capped a five‑RBI performance. Across the week, she totaled 17 total bases, six runs scored, and struck out zero times, continuing her role as one of the conference's most dangerous hitters. Di Genova set the new single-season home run program record with her 18th and 19th home runs of the season.

Wetteland was equally impressive, earning her second conference honor of the season after hitting .462 with a 1.077 slugging percentage, five RBIs, and four extra‑base hits. The freshman third baseman posted six hits across the four‑game stretch, including a standout performance at San Diego State where she went 2-for-4 with a double, triple, and two RBIs.

She followed that with another strong showing against New Mexico, scoring five runs on the day and adding a home run, two more RBIs, and her first stolen base of the season. Wetteland finished the week with 14 total bases, eight runs scored, and reached safely in over half of her plate appearances (.588 OBP).

Together, Di Genova and Wetteland combined for 11 hits, 18 RBIs, and 31 total bases, anchoring a Nevada offense that surged throughout the weekend.
