Durley earns Mountain West Freshman of the Year and All-Freshman Team Honors

RENO, Nev. - After a standout performance in her first season with Nevada, Skylar Durley has been named the Mountain West Freshman of the Year, as well as named to the All-Freshman Team, as announced by the conference on Saturday.

Durley is the first Pack player to earn the title of Freshman of The Year since Nevada joined the Mountain West Conference. She is only the second all-time to do it, the first being Brandi Fitzgerald in 2006 when Nevada was in the WAC. Durley is also the first to be named to the All-Freshman Team since her teammate, Izzy Sullivan, earned a spot during the 2023-24 season. In the regular season, Durley earned Freshman of the Week five times.

The Oklahoma City native started in all 30 regular season games, averaging 31.9 minutes per game. She scored in double-figures in 19 games, doing it in six consecutive games twice during the season. Durley hit her career high 22 points in the final regular season game at Utah State, and grabbed a career high 14 rebounds against Wyoming in January. On top of that, she has a total of 70 assists, 28 steals and seven blocks.

Following the end of the regular season, Durley led the Pack in scoring and rebounds. She currently stands at 15th in scoring in the conference with a total of 348 points. She is also 11th in overall rebounding with 184 boards, and eighth in defensive rebounds with 146. She ranks 12th in overall minutes played with 957 in 30 games.
