RENO, Nev. — Tess Bumiller has been named the Mountain West Pitcher of the Week the conference announced Monday.
Bumiller had a dominant weekend in the circle against Boise State, going 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA over 8.1 innings. She opened the series with a shutout Saturday, allowing just four hits and striking out six in five innings of work in the Wolf Pack's 8-0 run-rule win.
She returned the next day and delivered again, pitching 3.1 shutout innings of relief with three hits allowed and two strikeouts. She picked up her second victory of the weekend with Nevada's 9-4 win.
Across the weekend, Bumiller issued just two walks and faced 32 batters without surrendering a run.
