LAS VEGAS, Nev. - After dominating the Air Force Falcons with the largest margin of victory in Mountain West Championship history, #5 Nevada is set to face #4 Grand Canyon in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championship on Thursday evening.

Nevada is coming off another dominant performance against Air Force. The 80-45 victory in the first round of the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Basketball Championship is the largest in Mountain West Conference Tournament history, surpassing the previous record set by San Diego State in a 73–39 win over Utah State in March 2014.

Nevada dominated across several key categories, outscoring Air Force in points off turnovers (25–9), points in the paint (34–28), second-chance points (11–4), fast-break points (17–2), and bench points (39–22).
SCOUTING GRAND CANYON
Grand Canyon clinched the fourth seed spot in the Mountain West Tournament after an 85-60 win against Fresno State.

Brian Moore Jr. led the offense with 18 points. Moore Jr. was supported by the Lopes bench with Dusty Stromer (17), Dennis Evans (12), and Caleb Shawn (11).

GCU won bench scoring 36-13, marking the first time the Lopes reserves have outscored their opponents in consecutive games since early January.

The Lopes held Fresno State to 37 percent shooting, using 13 steals and five blocks to pace 16 fastbreak points.

Chuck Bailey III with 18 points and four rebounds, the Pack came out on top in an overtime thriller of 66-60. Bailey III was followed by
Tyler Rolison, with 11 points, five rebounds, and four assists. Both players came off the bench to help Nevada dominate points off the bench, 41-2.

Rolison was a key player, knocking down all three free throws to send the game to overtime. He also made his impact on defensive end, leading the team with 3 steals.

Camper Jr. earned a spot on the 2025-26 All-Mountain West First Team, while Price gathered a spot on the Second Team and Defensive Team. This marks the first All-Conference accolades of their careers for both student-athletes.
