This Week In Wolf Pack Athletics

RENO, Nev. - Nevada heads into the final week of February with two conference championships on tap. The first, the Credit Union 1 2026 Mountain West Indoor Track & Field Championships, will be hosted at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center Thursday-Saturday, February 26-28.

Nevada Skiing will also compete at the RMISA Championships Thursday and Friday in Bridger, Montana, with Giant Slalom set for the first day and Slalom races the next.

Wolf Pack Men's Basketball continues its chase for a Mountain West regular-season title and a top-four bye at March's conference tournament as it hosts a critical Tuesday night home contest against New Mexico at 8 p.m. The Pack closes the week with the return bout of the Silver State Series, visiting UNLV Saturday for a 7 p.m. tip.

On the women's side, Nevada closes its 2025-26 home slate with two matchups this week, the first Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. against San José State followed by Senior Day Saturday at 1 p.m. against New Mexico.

Nevada, fresh off an exciting 80-77 victory over Utah State Saturday night, enters the penultimate week of the regular season with critical matchups at home against New Mexico and on the road at UNLV.

The Pack is three games out of first place with four to play, and just as importantly is holding the fourth spot in the standings and final bye to the quarterfinals at March's Mountain West Championship. Nevada can gain ground on second-place New Mexico with a win Tuesday as well as create space between it and GCU and UNLV for a first-round bye.

Nevada Women's Basketball plays its final home games this week, beginning Wednesday evening against San José State and closing with Senior Day Saturday at 1 p.m. against New Mexico.

The Wolf Pack are fighting for positioning in the Mountain West Championship first round with four games remaining in the regular season. Wednesday's matchup provides an opportunity to avenge an earlier loss at San José State, while Saturday the Pack can go for a big season sweep of the Lobos.

Nevada Skiing closes its regular season early in the week in Park City competing at the Utah Invitational Sunday to Tuesday at Utah Olympic Park.

From there, the Pack travels to Montana, where it will compete in the RMISA Championships at Bridger Bowl. The conference meet begins Thursday, February 26 with the Giant Slalom and concludes the next day with Slalom. The Wolf Pack will compete in a conference slalom qualifier Saturday, Feb. 28.

Nevada Baseball, fresh off a three-game home weekend sweep of Utah Valley which evened its record at 3-3, travels over the pass to Davis for a three-game series.

After Sunday's finale, the Wolf Pack will continue west for a non-conference one-off at Stanford Monday at 1:05 p.m.

MEN'S TENNIS
PAC Coast Doubles Championship

Thursday-Sunday, Feb. 26-March 1

Nevada Men's Tennis will travel to San Diego for the PAC Coast Doubles Championship this weekend. While matchups are still being finalized, the Wolf Pack will face Pomona-Pitzer Sunday.

The Wolf Pack had its matches at UC Davis and Pacific postponed this past weekend due to weather conditions.

Nevada Softball heads over the pass for the Capital City Classic where they will face UC Davis, Sacred Heart, Santa Clara, and Sacramento State. The Pack is now 8-7 after their weekend in Cathedral City for the Mary Nutter Classic.

Women's Golf compete at the 2026 Causeway Invitational hosted by UC Davis at Del Paso CC in Sacramento, California, Monday and Tuesday. Nevada Track and Field are set to host this week's Credit Union 1 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The Pack have many medal contenders to keep an eye on this season, looking to increase their medal total from 2025. Thursday will be multi events and pole vault, Friday will involve jumps and sprint prelims, and Saturday will host the finals and presentations.
