RENO, Nev. - Nevada men's basketball earned votes in the 2026-27 Associated Press (AP) Preseason Top 25 poll announced Monday ahead of the upcoming season.

Nevada is one of two Mountain West programs to receive votes in the preseason AP poll, alongside Grand Canyon, as the Wolf Pack prepares for another competitive season. Both the Wolf Pack and the Lopes received two points.

The Wolf Pack enters the 2026-27 campaign looking to build on a 24-13 season in which it advanced to the quarterfinals of the National Invitation Tournament (NIT). Nevada finished last season with a 17-2 record at Lawlor Events Center, tying the program record for home victories in a season.

Head coach Steve Alford welcomes back four key contributors, Elijah Price, Vaughn Weems, Peyton White, and Myles Walker, while adding 10 newcomers to the roster. Price and Weems were both named to the Preseason All-Mountain West Team.

The Pack is coming off a 71-61 exhibition win over Utah at Lawlor Events Center. Nevada has 18 home games on its 2026-27 schedule, including its second exhibition against Portland State Sunday, Oct. 25. The Wolf Pack will officially open the regular season Monday, Nov. 2, hosting Robert Morris at 7 p.m.
