RENO, Nev. -Â Nevada men's basketball opened its exhibition season with a 71-61 victory over Utah on Saturday evening at Lawlor Events Center.
TJ Coulter led the Wolf Pack with 19 points, three assists and three rebounds.
Keyon Kensie Jr. added 18 points, six assists and two steals, while
Elijah Price contributed 14 points, five rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
Styles Phipps boosted the offense with six assists and added four rebounds to help Nevada secure the win.
After shooting 28 percent from the field, 13 percent from three-point range and 63 percent from the free-throw line in the first half, the Pack found its rhythm after the break. Nevada shot 55 percent from the field, 40 percent from beyond the arc, and 85 percent from the free-throw line in the second half to pull away for the 10-point victory.
The Runnin' Utes had three players score in double figures, led by Trey Campbell, who finished with 14 points and seven rebounds. Taison Chatman added 11 points, while Holcombe recorded 10 points and nine rebounds.

The Pack will continue its exhibition slate against Portland State on Sunday, Oct. 25, at Lawlor Events Center. Tip-off is set for 1:30 p.m., with the game airing on MW+.
Nevada will officially open the regular season against Robert Morris on Monday, Nov. 2, at Lawlor Events Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
