RENO, Nev. - Coming off of a win over Utah State on Saturday, Nevada Women's Basketball remains at Lawlor to host Wyoming on Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.

The Pack's 58-40 victory over the Aggies was its first conference win of the season and improved its home record to 5-1. Defensively, Nevada had a strong showing, forcing Utah State into multiple shooting droughts. In the first half alone, the Pack held the Aggies to just 26.7 percent from the paint and only nine percent from the arc, going 1-for-11. In total, Utah State shot 25.9 percent from inside and 8.7 from three.

Two freshmen for the Pack had standout performances with Skylar Durley knocking down 12 points and grabbing a career high nine rebounds. She also went 6-for-6 from the line. Britain Backus recorded a career high four steals and went 2-for-2 from the paint.

Junior Izzy Sullivan led all Pack scorers with 17 and had Nevada's only two makes from three. She only needs one more to hit 100 career threes.

Wyoming enters the game on a three-game losing streak, last falling to San Diego State on Saturday, 72-55. Both Malene Pedersen and Henna Sandvik scored 17 points, with the former recording six boards. Jane Rumpf dropped 11 points to go along with three blocks and four rebounds.

As a team, the Cowgirls shot 36.8 percent from the paint and 23.3 percent from deep. The third quarter put Wyoming in a hole as they were outscored, 22-5, and went 0-for-6 from three.

Wyoming's only conference win so far this season came against San Jose State in mid-December, 83-60.

Nevada came up short in both games last season, first 66-61 and the second 45-42. Wednesday night's match-up will be the 21st overall meeting between the two teams.
