RENO, Nev. - Nevada Women's Basketball comes out of its bye week with a road trip to face San Diego State on Saturday with tip set for 1 p.m.
Nevada enters the game after a bye week. The Pack last faced UNLV at home a week ago, falling just short to the Rebels in a thrilling game, 62-57.
The fourth quarter and free throws were the difference in the game. The Pack went 7-for-13 from the line for 53.8 percent on the day. The final quarter was the only one where Nevada was outscored.Â
The Pack improved on ball protection with only seven turnovers for the entire game. It also took the ball away six times and turned those takeaways into 10 points.Â
Izzy Sullivan led in scoring for the Pack with 13 points.
Skylar Durley had 10 points with six rebounds.Â
San Diego State comes into Saturday after a win over Colorado State on Wednesday, 46-44. The Aztecs began with holding the Rams to just three points in the first quarter. It would be the deciding factor as SDSU only scored four points in the second quarter and the last 20 minutes were nearly even.Â
It was the lowest scoring game of the season for San Diego State. The Aztecs shot 34 percent from the floor and went 0-for-12 from beyond the arc.Â
Kaelyn Hamilton led both teams in scoring with 15 points. She also had five rebounds. Bailey Barnhard led in boards with eight.
Saturday's game will be the 34th meeting between the teams. Last season, Nevada fell in both games. The first was in early January, 81-62, and the second was in the middle of February, 72-43.Â
