Box Score ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Wolf Pack Women's Basketball earned its third straight conference win on Saturday afternoon after defeating New Mexico, 70-61.
All 10 players who saw time on the court scored for Nevada (7-9, 3-3 MW).
Izzy Sullivan had a big day after scoring her 100th career three. She went on to record three total and had 13 points with six rebounds.
Ahrray Young led Nevada, tying her career high of 20 points.
Skylar Durley contributed with 15 points and six rebounds of her own.
Nevada's strong second half pushed them in front of New Mexico (12-5, 4-2 MW). A 9-0 run in the middle of the third, capped by a layup and jumper from Maia, Rosarion, gave Nevada its first lead of the game. From there, two more ties occurred with the teams trading the lead before New Mexico took the 53-48 advantage into the final 10.
Despite not having a field goal for nearly five minutes to close out the game, the Pack's 11-0 run to open the fourth pushed them ahead by as much as six.Â
The Pack improved its shooting percentage from the floor, going from 37.5 in the first 20, to 57.1 in the second. They outscored the Lobos 42-25 and held them to just 35.5 percent inside.Â
Nevada opened the game up slow in shooting, but dominated in rebounding with 20 boards in the first quarter alone. At the end of the half, the Pack had recorded 23 to the Lobos' 11.
The Pack started to get action going from deep with four threes in the second quarter, drastically improving on the nine points they had in the first. After being down by as much as 10, Nevada cut the lead to two just before half thanks to threes by both Sullivan and Young.Â
Nevada went 5-for-5 in the last three and a half minutes of the half. Defensively, the Pack forced the Lobos into two long scoring droughts in the beginning of the second that totaled five minutes.Â
The momentum being in favor of Nevada heading into the break allowed them to have an impressive second half.
Rebounds continued to go in favor of Nevada, recording 42 on the day to New Mexico's 30. The Pack also recorded 15 steals, leading to the same amount of points.Â
Nevada will be on the road again for a mid-week match-up at GCU on Wednesday, with tip set for 5 p.m. PT.
