San Diego, Calif. — Nevada Women's Soccer suffered a 4-0 defeat Thursday night on the road against San Diego State.
The Aztecs took control early, scoring three goals in the first half and adding a fourth after the break. The Wolf Pack worked to build momentum and created several chances in the attacking third but couldn't convert those opportunities into goals.
Offensively, Olivia Loomis led the Pack with four shots, while Naima Castro had three and Olivia Koop added two. Nevada showed effort throughout the match but couldn't hold off SDSU's relentless attack. Despite some bright moments going forward, the Pack struggled to finish and shift the momentum.
Next weekend marks the start of Mountain West Conference play. Nevada returns home to host Fresno State on Thursday, September 25, followed by another home match up against San Jose State on Sunday, September 28 at Mackay Stadium.
