RENO, Nev. - Nevada volleyball kicks off the 2025 season this weekend, competing in the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Weber State.
The Pack will play in three games over two days, two on Friday and one on Saturday.
Nevada begins with Weber State on Friday at 9 AM, followed by Southern Utah at 4 PM the same day. The Pack will round out the tournament by taking on the Anteaters from UC Irvine at 10 AM on Saturday.
The Pack are coming off a season where they ended with an overall record of 12-17 and a conference record of 5-13. They return multiple key players, including senior
Bella Snyder, who led the team in attacks, and sophomore
Kinsley Singleton, who earned three conference honors last season as a freshman.
Nevada also added new power in the offseason, signing
Haylee Brown who posted 188 kills and 41 blocks in her sophomore season. Other strong newcomers added to the roster include freshman
Audrey Jensen and transfer
Jess Walkenhorst.
Weber State is coming off of a 2024 season where they finished 14-16 overall and 10-6 in conference. Meanwhile, Southern Utah finished at 10-18 overall and 6-10 in conference. UC Irvine wrapped up 2024 with an overall record of 16-14 and conference record of 10-8.
Nevada will spend its first two weekends of the season the road, before hosting the Nevada Invitational Sept. 11-13.
