TEMPE, Ariz. – Nevada women's soccer battled in its first road test of the season Thursday night against Arizona State at Sun Devil Soccer Stadium.
After a back-and-forth first half, the Wolf Pack's defensive unit stepped up in the second, anchored by goalkeeper
Mia Collins, who recorded an impressive
seven saves in the final 45 minutes to keep Nevada within striking distance.
Nevada created several attacking moments in the match, with
Ella Hallert,
Ainsley Ewasiuk, and
Naima Castro pushing into the offensive third to apply pressure on the Sun Devil back line. Despite their efforts, the Pack was unable to break through for a goal.
The Wolf Pack continues its road trip on
Sunday, Aug. 17, traveling to Flagstaff to take on Northern Arizona.
