Kobe Sanders Earns 2025 NBA Draft Combine Invite After Standout Season at Nevada

RENO, Nev.- After a breakout season in Reno, Nevada, guard Kobe Sanders has officially been invited to the 2025 NBA Draft Combine, putting him one step closer to achieving his professional basketball dreams.

In his lone season with the Wolf Pack in 2024–25, Sanders made an immediate impact, earning All-Mountain West Third Team honors. The 6-foot-9 playmaker averaged 16 points, five assists, and four rebounds per game, showcasing his versatility and poise in head coach Steve Alford's system. Sanders ranked fourth in the Mountain West in assist percentage and finished among the league's top 10 in scoring, field goal percentage, and free throw percentage—an impressive feat for a first-year transfer.

Sanders had several signature performances throughout the season, including 30-point games against Boise State and UNLV. His court vision and playmaking were equally sharp—he dished out seven or more assists in six contests and often served as the Wolf Pack's offensive engine. His consistent production and late growth spurt—shooting from 6-foot-5 in high school to 6-foot-9—have captured the attention of NBA scouts, ultimately earning him a spot at this year's combine.

The 2025 NBA Draft Combine will take place in Chicago from May 11–18, allowing Sanders to showcase his skill set alongside other top prospects. He joins Colorado State's Nique Clifford and San Diego State's Miles Byrd as the only Mountain West players invited to the event.

Sanders' rise is a testament to his development and perseverance. Though he began his college career at Cal Poly, it was at Nevada where he elevated his game and proved himself on a national stage. With the NBA Draft set for June 25 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, Sanders now looks to become Nevada's first NBA draftee since Jalen Harris in 2020.
