RENO, Nev. – Nevada Women's Tennis came back to defeat Air Force, 4-1, after losing the doubles point. With the win and other results across the conference, Nevada moved into first place in the Mountain West.
Nevada and Air Force played the tightest doubles session of the season, with all three matches finishing 7-5. Two of the matches favored the Falcons, giving Air Force the lead after doubles play. Alexis Odom and Maya Michalski paired to defeat
Marlene Foerster and
Wiem Boubaker on court two. Nevada tied the doubles session with
Silvia-Maria Costache and
Petra Janigova's win against Sofia Mavor and Nadia Kojonroj. Van Houwelin and Shivaani Selvan won the top flight match over Amahée Charrier and
Kennedy Robinson, securing the point for Air Force.
Nevada dominated the singles session, quickly winning four matches.
Lou-Anne Guerbert led the way for Nevada with her 6-0, 6-2 win against Kojonroj on court three.
Petra Janigova took advantage of a break in the first set to glide past Joselyn Limbago on court six. Janigova won the first set 6-4, before taking over the match and winning the second set, 6-2.
Charrier gave the Pack its third point, defeating Odom 6-1, 7-5 in the top flight match. Charrier's win marked her 24
th of the season, tying Tracy King and Claudia Herrero for the most in a Wolf Pack season.
Foerster clinched the win for Nevada, up a break in each set to defeat Van Houwelin, 6-4, 6-3.
With the win, Nevada improves to 6-1 on the season. Thanks to San Diego State defeating San José State 4-1, the Pack is now in joint first place with both the Aztecs and Spartans and currently hold the tiebreaker for first overall.
Nevada heads to Fresno for its final away match of the regular season, taking on the Fresno State Bulldogs at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 11. The Pack will then return home for a clash at the top of the standings, taking on San José State at noon on Sunday, April 13.

- Amahée Charrier defeated Alexis Odom, 6-1, 7-5, for her 24th singles victory of the season, tying the Nevada single-season record for wins.
- Nevada won its 15th match of the season, passing 10 different seasons for the second most wins in a Wolf Pack season (16).
