Nevada Women’s Golf leads after Day 1 of the USF Invitational at the Olympic Club

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Nevada Women's Golf turned in a commanding performance at the Olympic Club in San Francisco, finishing Day 1 of the 2025 USF Invitational in first place with rounds of 295 (+11) and 294 (+10) for a team total of 589 (+21). The Pack enters the final round ahead of UC Irvine (+22) and Brigham Young (+24).

Individual qualifiers Marina Nonaka (76-74 = 150, +8) and Amy Na (79-77 = 156, +14) also competed strongly, contributing depth and consistency to Nevada's overall showing.

Leading the way for the Pack was Anna Shultse, who is tied for first after rounds of 71 (E) – 71 (E) for a 142 (E) total. Shultse was dominant on the par 5s at -3 and tied for the tournament lead in birdies with 7.

Nikki Chindavong opened with a 71 (E) and followed with 75 (+4) to finish at 146 (+4), currently tied for 7th. She logged seven birdies and 26 pars across the first two rounds.

Raesa Sheikh and Payton Lovisa sit at 152 (+10), tied for 29th. Sheikh posted rounds of 77-75 and carded four birdies, while Lovisa rebounded from a tough start (79) with a strong 73 in Round 2, tallying five birdies.

Gabby Kano finished Day 1 at 153 (+11) with rounds of 76-77. Kano recorded two birdies and 22 pars and played the par 3s at +1.
