RENO, Nev. – Nevada Softball stars
Aaliyah Jenkins and
Hailey McLean were named Mountain West Player of the Week and Co-Pitcher of the Week, respectively.
Â
Jenkins collects her second consecutive Player of the Week award, making her the first player to win the award multiple times this season. Jenkins is the first Mountain West player to win the award in back-to-back weeks since Jessie Hufstetler of San José State did it in 2016.
Â

Â
Jenkins's bat led the Wolf Pack to the series win over San Diego State, hitting the game-winning RBI triple in Nevada's 1-0 win over the Aztecs on Thursday and the game-winning three-run homer in the Pack's 5-2 win on Friday.
Â
With her four RBIs, Jenkins passed Megan Sweet for the Nevada RBI crown, tallying 169 career RBIs, the most in Wolf Pack history.
Â
McLean was dubbed Co-Pitcher of the Week, making this her third weekly award of the season and fifth Pitcher of the Week award of her career.
Â
The junior's week was headlined by her second complete-game shut out of the season, only allowing two hits in the Pack's 1-0 win against San Diego State.
Â
McLean made three appearances for Nevada during the week, pitching 10.0 innings and only allowing six hits and one run. McLean struck out eight batters and finished the week with a 1-1 record.
Â
The Sparks native leads all Mountain West pitchers with a 0.44 ERA and .160 opposing batting average in conference games.
Â
San Diego State's Cece Cellura won the other half of the award, her second of the season.
