ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Nevada Men's Tennis lost its Mountain West opener, 4-0, to No. 64 New Mexico.
 
The Wolf Pack's lone win of the match came on doubles court one, where Youssef Kadiri and Lucas Hammond defeated Aram Noroozian and Georgio Samaha, 6-3. The Lobos won each of the other two doubles matches, winning 6-2 on court three and winning a tight 7-5 match on court two.
 
New Mexico dominated the singles session, winning the first set in all six matches. Avery Tallakson extended the Lobo lead, defeating Greg Valente 6-3, 6-0 on court six.
 
The middle two courts also went New Mexico's way, clinching the dual for the Lobos. Dario Ciobotaru defeated Rémy Trégourès, 6-1, 6-3 on court four, and Samaha defeated Hammond, 7-5, 6-1 in the third flight match.
 
Max Contet tied his fifth-flight match just before the dual was abandoned, tied 3-6, 6-3 at the end of his match.
 
Nevada returns home to take on Air Force at 11 a.m. on Sunday, the Pack's first home match in conference play.
