LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Nevada Wolf Pack will take on the Colorado State Rams in the 2025 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Basketball Championship quarterfinals on Thursday, March 13, at 6:00 p.m. PDT. The game, held at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network, with Andrew Catalon on the play-by-play call, Steve Lappas providing analysis, and Evan Washburn reporting from the sidelines. The winner will advance to the semifinals, where they will face the victor of the Utah State vs. UNLV matchup, which tips off at 8:30 p.m. PDT later that evening.

Colorado State enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed after an impressive 16-4 record in conference play and a 22-9 overall mark. The Rams come into this game riding a seven-game winning streak, proving their ability to perform under pressure. Conversely, Nevada is seeded seventh with an 8-12 conference record and 17-15 overall. The Wolf Pack punched their ticket to the quarterfinals with a convincing 86-71 victory over Fresno State in the opening round.

This will be the third meeting between the two teams this season, with Colorado State winning both previous contests. In their first clash on December 21, the Rams edged out a narrow 66-64 victory in Reno, holding off a late Nevada push. The second matchup, played in Fort Collins on February 18, saw Colorado State secure a 79-71 win behind a dominant performance from Nique Clifford, who tallied 22 points and nine rebounds.

For Nevada to have a shot at an upset, they will need strong performances from their key players. Nick Davidson leads the Wolf Pack in scoring and rebounding, averaging 15.6 points and 6.5 boards per game. Kobe Sanders has also been a critical contributor, putting up 15.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. Meanwhile, Colorado State's balanced attack, led by Clifford and a deep supporting cast, has been brutal for opponents to slow down.
