Box Score RENO, Nev. - For the second time in the regular season, Nevada women's basketball faced off with Boise State, this time taking them on at home. The close battle resulted in the Wolf Pack getting the comeback win, 69-61.
Audrey Roden recorded a double-double in the victory with 16 points and 12 rebounds, 10 of them being defensive.
Lexie Givens led in scoring with 20. She was perfect from the paint and beyond the arc going 7-7 and 2-2, respectively.Â
Givens scored the first points after battling her way under the basket for a layup. Boise State quickly tied it up at two with a pair of made free throws.Â
The Pack then found themselves down as the Broncos took their first lead of the game early in the opening quarter. In the next offensive possession for Nevada,
Izzy Sullivan splashed a three to put the Pack back up.
Olivia Poulivaati then drove in for a layup to give Nevada a three-point lead.
Over halfway through the first, the Pack found themselves trailing again. They managed to tie it up with three straight points from
Victoria Davis, a jumper and one from the charity line.Â
Despite the made baskets, Boise State scored again before the end of the quarter, Nevada trailing 15-13 into the second.
The Pack opened the next 10 with a basket by
Imbie Jones to tie it up again. The Broncos went on a slight scoring run to create a lead of five, but Nevada then cut it back to one as Jones and Roden had back-to-back baskets.Â

The last five of the second quarter, Nevada struggled to get shots to fall as Boise State extended its lead to eight, the largest of the half by either team.
Heading into the break, the Pack were trailing, 33-25.
Coming out of halftime, Nevada got a quick score with a Sullivan and-one layup. She completed the three-point play to put the Pack back within five. Givens added on with a layup of her own, putting Nevada within three. Sullivan then added on to the scoring run and cut the lead down to just one.
Defensively, Nevada kept Boise State off the board through the first three minutes of the third. The Broncos then hit back-to-back baskets to extend the lead back to six, but Roden scored a layup to get within four.
With just under two minutes remaining in the third, the Pack found themselves trailing by eight.
A layup by Givens and a last second three by Davis cut the lead to three, 48-45, heading into the final 10.
The fourth quarter started with a bang as Nevada saw its first lead since the opening quarter. Givens knocked down a three and a free throw to put the Pack up, 49-48.
Nevada and Boise State continued to battle for the lead. After trailing again, free throws by Roden, a three from Givens and jumper from Davis led to a seven-point run that put the Pack up, 58-53, with just over four minutes left.Â
The Pack continued to build on to their lead, while lockdown defense kept the Broncos shooting only 23% from the paint and 0% from beyond the arc in the final 10.
As time ticked down, the Wolf Pack went up by as much as nine, and ultimately came away with the eight-point comeback victory.
Nevada will head out on the road to face San Jose State on Saturday at 2 PM.
