RENO, Nev. - Nevada women's basketball is on the road for the second weekend in a row, facing the University of San Francisco and McNeese State in the Briann January Classic hosted by Arizona State.

The Pack will take on San Francisco Friday at 3 PM, followed by McNeese State Saturday at 11 AM.

Nevada enters the tournament after a tough road trip competing in the Portland Invitational last weekend. They went 0-2 after falling to Eastern Washington, 58-57, and Portland, 65-52.

Chloe Williams recorded the Pack's first double-double of the season against the Eagles with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Skylar Durley and Makayla Carter both had a season-high game the following night against Portland. Durley recorded 20 points, while Carter had nine points and nine rebounds.

The Dons are on a four-game winning streak coming into Friday afternoon's contest. They last beat CSU Monterey Bay on Sunday, 92-52.

Meghan McIntyre led with 16 points, four rebounds and seven assists. Candy Edokpaigbe had 14 points, with Sol Castro contributing 13 points and seven rebounds.

This will be the seventh meeting between Nevada and San Francisco. The last came in November of 2021, with the Pack getting the win, 73-67.

McNeese state also enters the tournament off of a win, downing Utah Tech on Tuesday, 67-52.

Arrianna Patton led in scoring with 14 points, followed by Kaili Chamberlin with 13 and Allasia Washington with 12. Dakota Howard grabbed nine boards with Tyreona Sibley getting eight.

Saturday's game will only be the second time Nevada and McNeese State have met, the first coming 33 years ago. The pack fell short in the first meeting in 1992, 90-80.

The Cowgirls will first face Arizona State on Friday before taking on the Pack the next morning.
