RENO, Nev. - Nevada volleyball hosted Fresno State in game one of a four-game home stand on Thursday night, sweeping the Bulldogs in straight sets.

The opening set was tightly contested, with both teams trading points and momentum. Nevada jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead behind kills from Nicanora Clarke before Fresno State tied it up.

From there, the advantage went back-and-forth until Nevada went on a 5-0 run in the middle of the set to give them a five-point lead of 20-15. The Pack held off their opponent to grab the opener, 25-20.

Set two was all Nevada as the team quickly establishing dominance with a 6-1 lead behind a trio of service aces from Kinsley Singleton and a kill from Kamryn Tifft

The Pack continued to build, extending the lead to as much as 13 and hold the Bulldogs to single-digits for a majority of the set. Nevada didn't allow Fresno State to hit double-digits until they had already scored 21.

Nevada went on to take the second set, 25-14.

The third set saw five tie scores and four lead changes, as Fresno State fought to extend the match and avoid the sweep. Nevada jumped out to a 4-0 lead thanks to kills from Jess Walkenhorst and Clarke, and a block from Clarke and Bella Snyder.

Fresno State briefly took the lead at 16-15, but Nevada's offense surged again behind Haylee Brown, who delivered clutch kills down the stretch.

The set remained tight into the final points, with it being tied at 23. However, Nevada closed it out with a 4-0 run that was capped off with a kill by Brown to seal the 25-23 win and complete the sweep.
