UP NEXT
The Wolf Pack continues its season-opening three-game homestand Saturday night, hosting Pacific for a 7 p.m. tip. The stand will close Wednesday, Nov. 12, with a 7 p.m. game against Southern Illinois. From there, Nevada makes its first road trip of non-conference play, heading to Santa Clara for a Nov. 15 matchup.

NEVADA IN SEASON OPENERS
Nevada is 5-1 in season openers under head coach Steve Alford, and has won five in a row. Over the five-game run in season openers under Alford, the Wolf Pack has outscored opponents by an average margin of 14.4 points.

Nevada's only loss in a season opener under Alford was a 79-74 decision against Utah in Reno on Nov. 5, 2019.

ELIJAH PRICE NAMED PRESEASON ALL-MOUNTAIN WEST
Forward Elijah Price, who spent his first two seasons at Fresno State before transferring to Nevada, was voted to the 2025-26 Preseason All-Mountain West Team. The team was announced during Mountain West Basketball Media Day in Las Vegas on October 23.

Price arrived in Reno after an impressive redshirt freshman season at Fresno State Bulldogs in 2024-25, where he started all 32 games and averaged 10.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. He also posted 11 double-doubles—an achievement that set a program freshman record—while ranking among the top first-year students nationally in offensive rebounds per game.

PACK GOES 2-0 IN EXHIBITION PLAY
This season (2025-26) marked the first in which Division I teams could play other Division I squads in exhibition contests (not just "closed-door" scrimmages). The Wolf Pack geared up well for the coming campaign with an impressive 80-77 road win at Big XII team Utah and a 73-52 home rout of Eastern Washington.

Against the Utes on October 17, the Wolf Pack showcased balance, toughness, and depth in a back-and-forth contest that featured 12 lead changes and six ties. Corey Camper Jr., Elijah Price, and Tayshawn Comer combined for nearly half of Nevada's scoring. Camper led the way with 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting, attacking the rim efficiently and coming up clutch late from the free-throw line. Price dominated inside, recording 14 points and seven rebounds, including several key put-backs and free throws in the second half. Comer added 14 points and three assists, controlling the tempo and delivering strong drives to the basket.

Vaughn Weems led the Pack with 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting while Chuck Bailey III added 11 points with two steals in Nevada's home win over Eastern Washington on October 25.

The Eagles cut Nevada's 15-point halftime lead to just four at 41-37, but the Wolf Pack went on a 32-15 run the rest of the way.
