RENO, Nev. - After trailing in the first half, Nevada secured the win against Southern Illinois in overtime, 86-81, on Wednesday night.

Despite the Salukis shooting over 43 percent, the Pack protected its home court by shooting 34.6 percent from the field, 24.2 percent from behind the arc, and 72.7 percent from the line.

Elijah Price had a career night after tying his career high in points with 17 and breaking his record with 19 rebounds. Price also recorded two blocks in the game.

Tayshawn Comer led the Pack offense with 23 points and seven assists. Comer was followed by
Corey Camper Jr. (20 points and seven rebounds), and
Joel Armotrading (11 points and five rebounds).

Tyler Rolison also made an impact by tying his career high of seven assists.

First Half:
Nevada battled through the first half but started the game trailing for the first time in the season. The Pack took their first lead with an Armotrading hook in the paint at the 9-minute mark.
The Pack fought all 20 minutes to cut the deficit to 32-34 in the half.
Tayshawn Comer led with nine points and three assists.

Second Half:
The Pack continued to fight from the start of the second half. After being down six points at the 12-minute mark, Nevada made a big run to tie the game 54-54 after two of Rolison's free throws.
Nevada gained a 65-64 lead in the 4-minute mark with a Camper field goal in the paint. The Pack extended its lead with free throws made by Comer, but the Salukis regained possession of the game.
The Pack was down 69-71 at the 0:19 mark, but a three-point shot by Camper tied the game and led the game to overtime.

Overtime:
For the first time in the season, Nevada was taken into overtime by Southern Illinois. With Comer in charge of the offense, scoring five points, followed by Price (four points), the Pack did not back down as they led the period all the way through to win the game 86-81.

Nevada makes its first road trip of non-conference play against Santa Clara on Saturday at 4 pm.
