RENO, Nev. - Punter Bailey Ettridge was added to the Ray Guy Award Watch List and named to the Ray's 8 list, the honor's organization announced Monday.

The Ray Guy Award - named for football's premier punter - honors the nation's best collegiate punter in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). The Augusta Sports Council created the Ray Guy Award in 2000 to honor Thomson, Georgia native and College and Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, Ray Guy.

Ettridge, in his first season with the Wolf Pack from Lara, Australia, has had just one of 31 punts go for a touchback this season, all while averaging 44.2 yards per punt. Nine of his kick have gone for over 50 yards while 17 have landed inside opponents' 20-yard lines.

His 17 punts landing inside the opponent's 20 leads the Mountain West, while he also paces the conference's eligible punters with just the one touchback.

Ettridge earned his spot on the weekly "Ray's 8" list for his performance Friday against Boise State. Against the Broncos, he averaged 45.8 yards over four punts, with three landing inside the 20 and no touchbacks.

The Wolf Pack, on a bye this week, returns to action Saturday, November 8, at Utah State. The game kicks off at 4:30 p.m. PT on CBS Sports Network.
