COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Nevada Women's Soccer showed resilience on the road Sunday afternoon but fell 4-2 to Air Force in a competitive clash at Cadet Soccer Stadium.
Air Force opened the scoring early in the first half, grabbing a 1-0 lead. Nevada answered in the 34th minute when Olivia Koop delivered the equalizer, leveling the match with a composed finish. Just before halftime, the Falcons regained the lead to head into the break 2-1.
Air Force extended its advantage in the second half, but the Pack kept pressing. In the 58th minute, Freshman forward Naima Castro tallied her fifth goal of the season, cutting the deficit to 3-2 and sparking momentum. Despite Nevada's push, Air Force added a fourth goal late to secure the win.
Next up, the Pack continues its road swing with a trip to Logan, Utah to face Utah State, followed by a visit to Fort Collins, Colorado to take on Colorado State as Mountain West play rolls on.
