RENO, Nev. - Nevada volleyball closed out its two-game home stand on Saturday afternoon, falling in four sets to Colorado State.
All four sets were tight battles as none of them were won by more than five points. After dropping the first set, 25-23, Nevada surged back to tie the match at one set a piece, clinching the second, 25-22.
The third set saw Colorado State take control early as Nevada fought to stay close. The Pack ultimately lost the third, 25-20.
Nevada had the chance to even it at two sets a piece with a strong fourth that saw nine ties. Down by five late in the set, the Pack went on a 5-0 run to make the score 19 all. Despite the late push, Nevada couldn't stop Colorado State from scoring four in a row to close out the match, 25-21.
Haylee Brown led both teams in kills with 17, followed by
Mckaley Herr with 15.
Audrey Jensen led the Pack in assists with 26, while
Kinsley Singleton led in digs with 13.
Nevada will hit the road again to take on Wyoming on October 23 at 5:30 PM.
