ALBUQUERQUE, NM. - Nevada soccer was on the road Sunday, facing conference foe New Mexico. Comeback efforts fell short for the Wolf Pack, dropping the match, 5-2.

The Wolf Pack found themselves playing from behind early on as the Lobos got on the board in the 5th minute. Just under two minutes later, New Mexico tacked on another. 

One more was added by New Mexico before the end of the first 45. 

The second half was stronger for the Wolf Pack. Despite giving up two more goals, Nevada matched it by getting two of its own.

Olivia Loomis got her fourth goal of the season, which came in the 77th minute. Coming up the field from the left side, she snuck it between the legs of a New Mexico defender and into the bottom right corner of the goal.

The Wolf Pack nearly added another in the 81st minute as Emily Rich just barely missed and hit the crossbar. 

Three minutes later, Nevada was able to get is second goal when Trinity Sandridge scored her first of the season. From far out, she launched it into the top of the goal to bring the Wolf Pack within three.

The comeback efforts fell short as the Wolf Pack dropped the match, 5-2.

Nevada will return home to host Air Force on October 3rd at 7 PM.
