RENO, Nev. – Nevada Volleyball fell in a four-set battle to Colorado State (18-25, 25-21, 19-25, 14-25) at Virginia Street Gym, dropping their Mountain West record to 1-1. Despite strong individual performances, the Wolf Pack was unable to secure the win in front of a home crowd.
Gabby McLaughlin led the way for Nevada with 20 kills, while also contributing seven digs and three assists. Setter Tehya Maeva conducted the offense with 24 assists and chipped in six digs.
Nevada's second set win saw McKenna Dressel take charge with a kill to push the lead to 10-6, and a clutch swing from McLaughlin at 24-19. Bella Snyder sealed the set for the Wolf Pack. Dressel finished the match with three blocks, while Snyder added 10 kills, and four blocks. Sierra Bernard played a key role from the service line, contributing three service aces and 13 assists.
The Wolf Pack, now 8-6 overall, will hit the road next week for pivotal Mountain West matchups against UNLV on Thursday and San Diego State on Saturday.
