SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Nevada Women's Soccer opened conference play tonight, dropping the match to San Diego State with a final score of 5-0.

In the first half, the Wolf Pack held the Aztecs to just one goal, which came in the the 11th minute. Nevada got off five shots in the first 45, but was not able to connect.

Into the second 45, SDSU got another goal in the first 11 minutes of play. Nevada's best opportunity in the second half came during the 56th minute when Serene Gronauer got a shot off that was saved by SDSU's goalie. 

The second opportunity came in the 67th minute from a shot by Abigail Souza, that was also saved by San Diego State's goalie. 

As Nevada kept getting shots off offensively, the defense couldn't stop the Aztecs from going up. The Wolf Pack ultimately fell, 5-0 in their first conference game of the season. 

Nevada will stay on the road to play New Mexico on Sunday at 12:30 PM.
