RENO, Nev. – Nevada Swimming and Diving announced its 2024-25 meet schedule Friday, ahead of the team's report back to campus.
The Wolf Pack opens up with its annual Alumni Meet Saturday, Sept. 7, at 9 a.m. at the Lombardi Pool. Every year, the start of the new season is marked with a return of the program's decorated alumni, and a meet held against the current squad of Wolf Pack swimmers. More information on the Alumni Weekend will come at a later date.
The team's final tuneup comes two weeks later with the Silver vs. Blue intrasquad meet, set for Friday, Sept. 20, at 2:30 p.m. at Lombardi.
The competition season proper gets going Saturday, Oct. 5, with the first of the Wolf Pack's three home meets. Nevada will host Cal State East Bay in its home opener for an 11 a.m. meet that day. The Pack's remaining home schedule features a meet against Fresno State Saturday, Oct. 26, at 11 a.m., and the annual Silver State Series presented by America First Credit Union dual meet against UNLV, set for Friday, Jan. 19, at 3 p.m. at Lombardi.
Fall road trips for the Pack include a noon meet at UC Davis (Oct. 19), a trip to New Mexico for an 10 a.m. PT meet with the Lobos (Nov. 9), and a trip to Houston for the Phil Hansel Invitational from Nov. 20-22.
After the Pack's home finale against UNLV opens the New Year, Nevada wraps its dual season Jan. 26 at San José State.
Championship season opens with the Mountain West Swimming and Diving Championships Feb. 19-22 in Houston. The Wolf Pack divers begin their path for national qualification at the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships March 10-12 in Federal Way, Wash.
The 2025 NCAA Championships are set for March 19-22, also held in Federal Way. The Pack will close its competition season April 2-5 at the TYR Pro Series in Sacramento.
The Wolf Pack is coming off of a season in which it finished fifth at the 2024 Mountain West Championships and qualified a conference-best three members to the NCAA Championships. Leading the returning members of the Pack are swimmer
Scarlett Ferris, the reigning Mountain West 100 back champion, and diver
Bailey Heydra, a multiple-time All-Mountain West diver who returns to collegiate action in 2024-25 after spending the last season competing at the 2024 World Championships and pursuing a bid to the 2024 Olympics for her native South Africa.
Nevada welcomes six newcomers to the program in 2024-25, among them a two-time Olympian in Mongolia's Enkhkhuslen "Huska" Batbayar and three Division I transfers in
Noelle Harvey (Carlsbad, Calif. / Washington State),
Riley Parker (Greer, S.C. / South Carolina), and
Abby Parks (Matthews, N.C. / UNC Asheville).
