Seven Nevada programs post perfect APR scores

RENO, Nev. - The University of Nevada athletics department continues to perform well in the NCAA's annual Academic Progress Rate report as Nevada recorded six perfect scores in the single-year data.

All Nevada sports cleared the multiyear benchmark set by the NCAA. Seven of Nevada's athletics programs – women's and men's cross country, women's and men's golf, women's and men's tennis, and volleyball – recorded perfect scores of 1,000. The Wolf pack women's tennis team recorded its fourth consecutive perfect score, while for volleyball, men's cross country, and men's golf, it was the third perfect score in a row on the APR report.

Each academic year, every Division I sports team's APR is calculated using a simple and consistent formula. Scholarship student-athletes can earn 1 point for staying on course for a degree in their chosen major and 1 point for being retained (or graduating) at the end of each academic term.

Additional Wolf Pack programs scoring well included softball (990), women's track & field (990), women's basketball (980), and women's soccer (980).

The Wolf Pack averaged a 986 across its sport programs in the single-year scores for 2022-23. The score qualifies Nevada for additional support through the NCAA Academic Enhancement Fund, which enhances academic support programs at Division I member schools. Common uses include tutorial services, equipment, supplies and additional personnel.
