RENO, Nev. - Taylor Holder and Ethan O'Neal represented Nevada Baseball Tuesday as College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its 2024 Academic All-District Baseball Team.

To be eligible for consideration for all-district recognition, nominees must possess a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50. Position players must have played in at least 90 percent of their team's games or started at least 66 percent of the team's games. Pitchers must have made at least 17 mound appearances or pitched 25.0 innings on the year. True freshmen are not eligible.

Holder, a general business major, owns a 3.51 GPA and appeared in 46 of Nevada's 51 games in 2024, making 42 starts. Named to the All-Mountain West Second Team, Holder ranked sixth in the conference (all games) in both home runs (14) and slugging (.663). His 1.052 OPS led the Wolf Pack, and he added 11 doubles, three triples, and 36 RBIs to his ledger. He also provided plenty of dramatics for the Pack, hitting two walk-off home runs on the year—March 28 against Air Force, and April 17 against No. 4 Oregon State.

O'Neal, also named to the All-Mountain West Second Team following the season, earned his all-district spot by making 21 appearances for the Wolf Pack. An interdisciplinary studies major with a 3.52 GPA, O'Neal went 3-2 with a team-high five saves, a figure which tied for third in the Mountain West. All 21 of O'Neal's appearances came in relief, as he struck out 42 over 36.2 innings of work.
