RENO, Nev. - Â Four members of the Wolf Pack were named to the NFCA All-West Region teams today, led with sophomore third baseman
Haley Painter earning a First Team selection. Seniors,
Bridgette Gilliano and
Gabby Herrera earned Second Team selections rounded out by junior catcher,
Aaliyah Jenkins, earning Third Team honors.

The awards honor softball student-athletes from the NFCA's 10 regions with first, second, and third team selections. All awarded student-athletes become eligible for 2023 NFCA Division I All-America teams.

Haley Painter highlighted the Pack honorees being named to the first team as a third baseman. Painter earned All-Mountain West second team honors after an impressive offensive season recording 16 home runs, 15 doubles, and 45 RBI. Painter started in all 57 games recording 33 putouts at third base.

Bridgette Gilliano was named to the second team after posting a .330 batting average starting in all 57 games at second base. Gilliano was a key defensive player for the Pack recording 102 putouts and a .968 fielding percentage.

Gabby Herrera joins Gilliano on the second team. Herrera was named Mountain West Co-Player of the Year and All-Mountain West first team. Herrera holds the Nevada record for most home runs in a single season with 17 posting a .392 batting average. Herrera started in 56 games in right field recording 36 putouts with a 1.000 fielding percentage.

Aaliyah Jenkins rounds out the Pack representatives who finished the season with a .346Â batting average with 12 home runs and 13 doubles. A. Jenkins was named to the All-Mountain West first team.
