BOISE, Idaho - Nevada Men's Tennis was swept for the third time in a row by a ranked Mountain West opponent.
The Wolf Pack contested Boise State tightly throughout the doubles session, splitting the doubles results. Jett Middleton and Caden Moortgat gave the Broncos the initial lead, defeatingÂ
Rémy Trégourès and
Loris Zisswiller, 6-4, on court two. The Pack responded on court three with
Edgar Destouet and
Greg Valente's 6-4 victory over John Chin and James Van Herzeele. Boise State clinched the 1-0 lead on court one when Sam Sippel and Jan Lucca Marquardt defeated
Matheo Coupu and
Youssef Kadiri, 7-5.
Boise State doubled their overall lead with Van Herzeele defeating Zisswiller, 6-2, 6-1 on court two. Idriss Haddouch brought Boise State within a point of clinching when he defeated Trégourès 6-1, 6-3 on court five. Boise State clinched the dual with a court six victory from Chin over Valente, 6-3, 6-3.
Destouet held a 6-3, 2-1 lead over Middle on court four when the dual was halted. Marquardt and Sippel were leading Kadiri and Coupu, respectively.Â
The Pack returns home next week for senior day and the final match of the regular season. Nevada takes on UNLV in the Silver State Series presented by American First Credit Union. The match will begin at noon on Saturday, April 20.
