RENO, Nev. – For the first time this season, Nevada softball swept the Mountain West weekly awards, the conference announced, Monday.

Senior pitcher
Tyra Clary was the conference's top pitcher after going 9.2 innings pitched. In the second game of the Saint Mary's doubleheader, Clary came in after the starter recorded one out in the first, recording five strikeouts and just two hits. In Friday's series finale against New Mexico, the Reno native pitched a complete five-inning shutout game, only allowing one hit.

Clary holds the lowest ERA in the conference with a 2.02 ERA in 21 appearances posting a 9-2 record over 66.0 innings pitched.

Senior right fielder,
Gabby Herrera, was named player of the week for the first time in her collegiate career. Herrera batted .714 (10-14) recording three home runs, 10 RBI, three doubles, and five runs scored. Herrera had an on-base percentage of .706 and 1.571 slugging percentage. Defensively, the Linden, California native recorded six putouts through five games in right field.

Herrera holds the second highest batting average (.450) leading the conference in doubles (13) and total bases (104).

Left fielder,
Bailie Clark, picked up her first freshman of the week honor in her debut campaign. Clark had her first collegiate career home run in the second game of the Saint Mary's doubleheader. Offensively, Clark went .727 batting average, with an on base percentage of .786 and slugging 1.182. Defensively, Clark started all five games in left field recording four putouts. The Jamestown, Calif. entered the week on an eight-game hit streak, and after recording a hit in all five games, extended it to 13.
