Wolf Pack fall to ranked Denver, finish non-conference schedule.

DENVER – Nevada Men's Tennis closed its non-conference slate with a 6-1 loss at Denver before the Pack take on Air Force to open Mountain West play.
 
The Pioneers defended their home court, winning the doubles point through a pair of victories. Anish Sriniketh and Raffaello Papajcik defeated Edgar Destouet and Greg Valente 6-2 on court three, gaining the doubles session lead. Daniel Sancho Arbizu and Marvin Schaber clinched the point for Denver with a 6-4 win against Loris Zisswiller and Rémy Trégourès. Nicolas Cuesta and Rikuto Yamaguchi led Matheo Coupu and Youssef Kadiri 5-4 at the clinch.
 
Denver quickly clinched the dual, winning four matches in straight sets, including three matches which only allowed the Pack to win five games.
 
Papajcik won the fifth-flight match against Trégourès 6-2, 6-3, doubling the Pioneers' lead. Zisswiller, playing as Nevada's number two, fell to Marvin Schaber 6-3, 6-2. Charlie Miller won the dual for Denver with his 6-2, 6-3 victory against Valente. Cuesta continued the dominance for Denver, defeating the Wolf Pack's Coupu, 7-5, 6-3 on court one.
 
The final two matches split the first two sets, forcing a third set. With the dual clinched for Denver, both matches played a 10-point tiebreaker. On court three, Kadiri earned the sole point for Nevada, defeating Sancho Arbizu 6-3, 5-7, [11-9]. Yamaguchi won a long tiebreaker over Destouet, coming back from a set down.
 
Nevada heads South to Air Force to begin Mountain West play. The match is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 28.
