RENO, Nev. - It's a Silver State Series weekend for Nevada Baseball this weekend, as the Wolf Pack hosts UNLV in a three-game series at Don Weir Field at Peccole Park. In addition to NCAA championship action for Men's Basketball and Swimming and Diving, plenty of spring Nevada teams will be in action this weekend.

It's that time of the season--it is Silver State Series presented by America First Credit Union this weekend, as Nevada (8-10, 4-2 MW) hosts arch-rival UNLV (12-8, 2-4 MW) for a three-game series at Don Weir Field at Peccole Park.
The series will open Friday at 6:05 p.m. and continue Saturday at 2:05 p.m. with Sunday's finale set for a 12:05 p.m. first pitch. From there, Nevada will head over the pass once again, for a Tuesday game at Pacific (5 p.m.).
All three games of the UNLV series will be aired locally on Nevada Sports Net and streamed on The Mountain West Network (www.themw.com/watch). The series will also be broadcast locally on 630 AM KPLY, while audio broadcasts of all four games can be found on The Varsity Network at www.thevarsitynetwork.com and through The Varsity Network app, with Don Marchand on the call.
NEVADA SWIM AND DIVE
Nevada swim and dive sent two swimmers, one diver to the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, hosted by the University of Georgia. Scarlett Ferris will represent in the 100 backstroke after breaking the Mountain West, meet, and program record at conference championships. Frederica Kizek will swim the 1650 freestyle after recording a program record time at conference championships. Melissa Mirafuentes qualified in all three dive events (1-M springboard, 3-M springboard, Platform) at the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships.

SOFTBALL
After going 2-1 in the first weekend of conference play, the Pack (22-7, 2-1 MW) head to Fort Collins, Colorado to take on the Colorado State Rams (18-9, 1-1 MW) in a three-game series. Nevada currently sits at first in conference standings, CSU in fourth.
The series will open Friday at 3 p.m. (PST) and continue Saturday at 12 p.m. with Sunday's finale set for a 11 a.m. first pitch. Nevada will return home for a midweek doubleheader facing Saint Mary's, Tuesday, March 26 with first pitch at 1 p.m.
All three games will be streamed on the Mountain West Network (www.themw.com/watch).
MEN'S TENNIS
Following a tough 4-3 defeat to the comeback efforts of Saint Mary's, Nevada (4-8) returns home for a Saturday doubleheader. The Jessup Warriors (3-4) of the NAIA's GSAC visit Reno for a pair of matches before Nevada begins its Mountain West schedule next week. The doubleheader is scheduled to start a 10 a.m. with the second match to begin shortly after the conclusion of the first, approximately at 2 p.m. Admission for both matches is free for all spectators.
Nevada will then conclude their non-conference schedule at Denver for a mid-week match. The Pack will take on Pioneers on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. a couple of days ahead of the start of the Mountain West season.
WOMEN'S TENNIS
The Pack (6-5, 1-1 MW) stay on the road taking on UNLV (8-5, 1-1 MW) in a Silver State series match up Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. Results for the Silver State series match can be followed live
HERE. The Wolf Pack then head to Southern California, visiting the No. 66 San Diego State Aztecs (7-5, 1-1 MW). The Pack's second ranked match up of the season will start at 12 p.m. on Sunday.
TRACK AND FIELD
The Pack look to continue their 2024 outdoor season at the Aztec Invitational March 21-23, hosted by San Diego State at the SDSU Sports Deck. The first two days of competition will be represented by multis athlete Valeria Paez Rueda as she competes in her first heptathlon of the season, while Saturday will feature the rest of the track and field events. Live results from Finished Results and live stream from Runner Space will be available through the weekend.
