SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Pack wrapped the outdoor season opener Saturday at the Hornet Invitational, coming away with a fourth-place overall team finish, scoring 50 points, while the 4x100 meter relay squad of
Kylee Parsons, Bonét Henderson,
Annalies Kalma, and
Magdalene George and George's appearance in the 100-meter dash, earned spots on Nevada's all-time list to highlight the final day.

The relay claimed a finish place finish in the event in a time of 45.92, becoming the sixth fastest time in school history, just shy of the fifth all-time mark set in 2015 (45.77). As for George, her time in the 100-meter dash put her at seventh all-time in school history, marking her second all-time mark of the weekend, another new outdoor personal record, and a top-10 finish in the event in seventh (11.77).

The javelin throwers got to put their winter training to the test as they made their outdoor season debut, all coming in within the top-20 in the standings.
Emily Poole (46.24m),
Hallee Hughes (44.65m), and
Izzy Steerman (38.69m) placed second, fourth, and 10
th respectively, with Poole and Hughes reaching personal records.
Valeria Paez Rueda earned an 18
th place finish in a personal record mark of 33.51 meters.

Rayven Nealey shined in the long jump, reaching the final to place second overall in a mark of 5.83 meters to start off the outdoor season.
Maria Paz Milani (5.45m) was 12
th.

Freshman
Kylee Parsons led the way for the Pack in the 400 meters, setting an outdoor personal record time of 56.36, claiming a fourth-place finish. Rounding out the top-10 finishers for Nevada was Lilly Gregg in ninth (57.05), followed by OkeOghene Ovedje in 12
th (57.38), making her outdoor season debut in the event.
Jasmine Harris saw a new personal record in 59.06, placing 23
rd.

In the 100-meter hurdles
Sarah Marske, who would compete in a total of three events Saturday afternoon, earned a fifth-place finish in a time of 13.84, just off her personal best (13.72) by 12 one hundredths of a second. Paez Rueda (15.01) was 24
th while
Lena Manchester made her collegiate career debut (17.35) finishing 44
th.

In the high jump, Paez Rueda claimed 14
th, opening the outdoor season in the event with a mark of 1.57 meters while
Stina Larsson placed 20
th (1.52m). Wrapping up the field events for the day, Hughes represented the Pack solo in discus, ending the day with a 12
th place finish with a mark of 41.41 meters.

Kylee Denver recorded a new personal record in the 800 meters, dropping five seconds to run a time of 2:13.89, finishing seventh.
Annalies Kalma made her event debut, running a season-best mark of 2:14.59, while
Mary DeMartini claimed 21
st (2:21.71).

The Pack ended the day with the 1500 meters and four Wolf Pack athletes represented in the event. Halyn Sengal ran a new personal record of 4:42.16, sitting just 10 seconds outside the Nevada all-time list in the event, earning the highest finish in 18
th.
Madelyn Shipman (4:45.50) saw a new personal record by four seconds, finishing 31
st while
Hannah Lee was just behind in 4:45.71.
Natalia Martino claimed second overall in the third heat ran, running a 4:48.34 (41
st).

The Pack will continue the 2024 outdoor season campaign back in action March 21-23, competing in the Aztec Invitational hosted by San Diego State.
