RENO, Nev. - A full weekend of home events is on tap at Nevada, as three teams--baseball, softball, and women's tennis--open up their 2024 home slates.

Baseball
Nevada vs. New Mexico

After a season-opening stretch of 14 road games, Nevada Baseball (6-8, 2-1 MW) finally opens its home slate at Don Weir Field at Peccole Park this weekend. The Wolf Pack hosts New Mexico for a three-game Mountain West series beginning Friday at 6:05 p.m.

The series will continue Saturday at 2:05 p.m. with Sunday's finale set for a 12:05 p.m. first pitch. From there, Nevada will head over the pass for a Tuesday evening contest at Sacramento State (6 p.m.).

All three games of the San Diego State series will be broadcast locally on 630 AM KPLY, while audio broadcasts of all four games can be found on The Varsity Network at www.thevarsitynetwork.com and through The Varsity Network app, with Josh Suchon on the call.

After a season-opening stretch of 26 road games in five tournaments, Nevada Softball (20-6) opens its home slate at Christina M. Hixson Field this weekend. The Wolf Pack hosts Fresno State for a three-game Mountain West series beginning Friday at 3 p.m. 

The series will continue Saturday at 1 p.m. with Sunday's finale set for 12 p.m. All three games will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network. 

Women's Tennis
The Wolf Pack (5-4) begin their Mountain West slate with its home opener at McArthur Tennis Center on Friday, March 15 at 12 p.m., hosting Wyoming. Nevada will then travel to San Jose to take on the Spartans on Sunday at 12 p.m.

The Pack closed their non-conference schedule with a doubleheader sweep of Stanislaus State, defeating the Warriors, 4-0 and 7-0. Kennedy Robinson brings three Mountain West Freshman of the Week honors as well as a Player of the Week award into conference play.

Track and Field
Nevada's track and field squad begin the 2024 outdoor season campaign Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16 at the Hornet Invitational, hosted by Sacramento State at Hornet Stadium. 

The Pack are coming off a seventh place finish at the Mountain West Indoor Championships where Halyn Senegal claimed her first career Mountain West title in the 800 meters in school record fashion and the 4x400 relay team of Bonét Henderson, Annalies Kalma, Melia Middleton, and Senegal captured the second consecutive Mountain West title in school history.
