Nevada women’s basketball travels to Air Force for Wednesday night hoops

USAFA, Colo. - Nevada women's basketball is back on the road and takes on Air Force at Clune Arena Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. 

Wednesday's game will be available to watch on the Mountain West Network and available to listen on KPLY 630 AM. Emmy award-winning broadcaster Larry Burnett will be on the radio play-by-play once again for Nevada women's basketball, where fans can also listen online through the Varsity Network. 

EARLY WORK
Nevada has two freshmen in Dymonique Maxie and Izzy Sullivan that are climbing the freshmen ranks in the NCAA Era. Maxie currently has the sixth-most steals by a Nevada freshman. Maxie needs 24 more steals to claim the Nevada Freshmen Steals Record set by Carissa Meyer (1994-95). Sullivan is currently third among Nevada freshmen in the NCAA Era in made 3-pointers in a single season. She needs 13 more to claim the Nevada Freshmen 3-Pointers Record set by current Nevada teammate Audrey Roden

RISING IN THE RANKS
Nevada currently ranks in the top four in the Mountain West in several categories. The Pack are currently third in 3-point field goal percentage defense (29.6%). Nevada is also fourth in steals (78), assists (134), and turnover margin (+3.30). 

MILESTONE MARKERS
Nevada has had a trio of Pack players who recently obtained career milestones. Junior guard Audrey Roden and senior guard Victoria Davis recently hit the century mark for career steals. Roden (four steals) and Davis (two steals) both obtained their 100th career steals Dec. 21 against BYU. Davis also surpassed the 500 career points mark Jan. 10 against Air Force. Senior forward Lexie Givens' first rebound of the game Dec. 30 against New Mexico was her 500th career rebound. Givens collected her 100th career steal Jan. 20 against Fresno State. Roden's first assist of the game Jan. 17 at Utah State gave her 100 career assists. 

AWESOME AUDREY
Audrey Roden, a member of the 2021-22 Mountain West All-Freshman Team, returns to Nevada for her junior season. She started the season by registering her fifth career 20-point game by dropping 21 in the season opener Nov. 9. As a sophomore, Roden finished in the top 20 in the Mountain West in scoring average in conference games. The West Linn, Oregon, native scored in double figures 15 times in 2022-23, including three 20-point outings. She also became the third Nevada sophomore to reach 500 career points under head coach Amanda Levens. She came up with her second career double-double Nov. 29 against San Diego (22 points, 11 rebounds). 

SCOUTING AIR FORCE
Air Force is currently on a two-game win streak after losing its last four games. The Falcons have scored over 62 points per game while allowing 66 points per game. Air Force, however, has allowed just 52.5 points per game in its last two games. 

Milahnie Perry leads the Air Force offense with 15.6 points per game while Madison Smith has collected 11.3 points per game to go with 5.4 rebounds
per game. Keelie O'Hollaren earned Mountain West Freshman of the Week after helping the Falcons to a 2-0 week with 10 points per game.

Season tickets for youth (8th grade and under) start at just $25 while the Family Four Pack (two adults, two youth) are $37.50 per person. Students receive free admission with their Wolf Card.
