MAUI, Hawaii - Coming off a hot win over Cal State East Bay last weekend, Nevada women's basketball will compete in the Maui Classic this week, taking on Miami on Thursday and Western Kentucky on Friday.
The Pack defeated the Pioneers on Saturday in their highest scoring game of the season, dropping 95 points to their opponent's 54. Multiple players had a big game against Cal State East Bay.
Victoria Davis led with 23 points, followed by
Lexie Givens with 15.
Izzy Sullivan and
Olivia Poulivaati each had 12, with the latter being a career high.
Imbie Jones saw a season high in scoring with eight.
Charlotte Climenhage was a perfect 2-2 from beyond the arc.
Audrey Roden had a season high six assists, while Davis tied her career high in steals with six.
In the match-up against Miami, Nevada will see some familiar faces, taking on the Cavinder twins who once played for Fresno State.
The Hurricanes are also coming into this week with a win after taking down Pittsburgh on Sunday, 62-56. Haley Cavinder led the team with a 22 points and 11 rebounds. Jasmyne Roberts also had a high-scoring game, tallying 19 points.
Western Kentucky comes into the tournament off a win over Kentucky Wesleyan, 88-61, nearly a week ago. The Hilltoppers will face off against Oregon State before Nevada sees them on Friday. Alexis Mead led the team in the win over KWU with 19 points, followed by Josie Gilvin and Zsófia Telegdy with 10 a piece.
Friday's game will tip-off at 9:30 PM (PST) and can be streamed
here. Saturday's game will be at 5:30 PM (PST) and is being streamed
here. These will be the final two games before the start of conference play.
