EUGENE, Ore. - Nevada women's basketball opens its 2024-25 season Wednesday, taking on Oregon on the road at 7 PM.
The game will be available to stream on B1G+. Emmy award-winning broadcaster Larry Burnett will be back on the radio doing play-by-play for Nevada women's basketball, where fans can listen online through the Varsity Network.Â
Nevada is looking for its second consecutive season-opening win, after defeating Sacramento State last season in the opener.Â
Oregon has already played one game in the 2024-25 campaign, defeating California Baptist on Monday, 93-63. The Ducks have completely revamped the team with nine new players on the roster, seven transfers and two freshmen.Â
Meanwhile, the Wolf Pack has a more experienced team after returning nearly every starter. They have also added height in the off-season with the addition of transfer
Amelia Raidaveta.
Imbie Jones and
Ahrray Young are two other major additions for Nevada. Freshman
Kendra Hicks will also be an impact player.
Following Wednesday night's game, Nevada will play in its home-opener on Friday, hosting Bushnell at 6:30 PM.
