RENO, Nev. - The women's soccer Academic All-District Team for 2024-25 has been announced by the College Sports Communicators, with five Wolf Pack players being named to the list.
Caly Ah Soon,
Cassidy Bell,
Olivia Loomis,
Lauren Muff and
Penny Murphy all excelled not only on the field, but in the classroom to be able to represent Nevada by earning spots on the Academic All-District Team.
The 2024 Academic All-District Women's Soccer Teams recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced December 11, 2024.
Ah Soon was also named Academic All-District in 2023. This season, she started in all 21 matches this season, recording 1,786 minutes on the field. She had two assists, one against Southern Utah and the other against Colorado College. Ah Soon carries a 3.785 GPA, majoring in Public Health.
Bell appeared in all 21 matches and started in 20 for the Pack. She scored one goal, which came against Colorado College, and had and assist in the same game. She has maintained a 4.0 GPA, getting a Master's in Business Administration.
Loomis came out firing in her sophomore season. She had a career high five goals in a season, scoring one in the first three consecutive games. Loomis scored the first goal of the season against Kansas State, just 14 minutes into the match. She also scored the game-winner against Colorado College. Loomis carries a GPA of 3.966, majoring in Public Health.
This is the second consecutive year Muff has earned her name on the Academic All-District Team. She played in all 21 matches this season and started in 20 of them. She scored her first career goal in the match against UC Berkeley on and had an assist against Colorado College. Muff has maintained a GPA of 4.0, majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
Murphy also earns her second consecutive honor of Academic All-District. She played in all 21 games of 2024 and scored the second goal of the season against Kansas State. Murphy had two other goals, one against San Jose State and the other against Fresno State in the following game. She also tallied an assist against Colorado College. Murphy carries a 3.570 GPA, majoring in Accounting.
